GAÏA Converter Highlights the complete MGDM Brick Series: Proven ¼ Brick and ½ Brick DC/DC Converters from 75W to 500W for High-Reliability Applications

Press Release – April 2025

GAÏA Converter highlights the strength and flexibility of its MGDM Brick Series, a complete range of 1/4 and 1/2 Brick DC/DC converters from 75W to 500W. Designed for mission-critical aerospace, defense, and industrial applications, these converters combine high-density power with proven long-term reliability.

MGDM 1/4 Brick Series – Compact Power from 75W to 250W

GAÏA Converter’s MGDM 1/4 Brick range offers four power variants—MGDM75, MGDM160, MGDM205, and MGDM250—providing isolated power with high power density and exceptional thermal behavior. With a wide range of input voltages (9–45Vdc, 16–80Vdc, and 155–480Vdc), these converters meet the most demanding design constraints and environmental conditions.

Features & Benefits:

  • Power ratings: 75W, 160W, 205W, 250W
  • High power density in compact ¼ Brick format
  • Wide input voltage flexibility
  • Full compliance with DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-1275
  • Ideal for airborne, ground vehicle, and industrial power architectures

MGDM-500 1/2 Brick – Scalable Performance up to 3Kw

The MGDM-500 delivers up to 500W in a rugged ½ brick format, offering up to 91% efficiency and wide input ranges (9–36V or 16–80V). Designed for high-performance systems such as radar, avionics, and industrial automation, this converter ensures reliable operation in the most extreme conditions.

The MGDM-500/P variant enables parallel operation with active load sharing, making it the ideal solution for scalable, high-reliability architectures without adding complexity to the system.

Key Highlights:

  • 500W output power in standard ½ Brick format
  • Parallel version (MGDM-500/P) for redundancy and scalability up to 3Kw
  • Comprehensive protections: OVP, UVLO, OTP, short-circuit protection
  • Designed to meet MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, and DO-160 standards
